I had a dream last night that this lightning-lady did a trust fall into a dark cloud-man, and he caught her. She didn’t think twice, and he was delighted. After the fact, and they had never met, they celebrated what they had just done together.
I keep having dreams that I’m missing flights or late to classes- elementary, middle, high, college, post-graduate... the classes always end up being fun, and I am perfectly content to miss the flight. Somehow I get lost along the way. Why do we do what we do?

The thing about blogging-
It can be easy to manipulate. Even as I type this next sentence I try to think of the perfect combination of words. I say this because I need to challenge myself to not take it too seriously. “I could’ve communicated that better,” or “I hope I don’t hurt someone’s feelings!” Even the title of this blog, for instance. I thought “troost fool” because it’s “trust fall” with an accent, then I look up troost and it’s the Dutch word for comfort. Am I saying that troost fool and trust fall are the same thing? Unintentionally, maybe. But it’s not a conscious manipulation, and it’s not easy to troost that in written word.
I’ve been practicing speaking from my heart. In real life. In person. To others. And there is bravery in that, truly, because I don’t say easy things. Not for me. It’s all too easy to pick the perfect combination of words in these blogs and then come back and edit them as I see fit. I just wrote “I don’t know how artists share their work,” then… I realize it’s a big ol’ trust fall. Or, great confidence. Maybe those things aren’t too different. Maybe they are.

I love outside. Grateful for inside. Sippin’ first cup o’ joe for the day and listening to BOSSA NOVA. And am cracking up about it. Maybe because it’s almost too delightful. I’ve wondered before if laughter is love burps. Peace, y’all.
