Twin. Child of Divorce. Southern. Likes the idea of making the world a better place, one step at a time - continues to bring me back to my roots: “do your job well and treat people kindly.” And more recently, ikigai.
Was one of those gifted kids; stayed busy in sports and evolved into a dedicated theatre person. Pivoted; did the Disney College Program for two sessions and participated in a semester-long professional course titled “The Business of Entertainment.” Obtained my Bachelor of Arts at the University of Georgia in Communication Studies with a minor in Theatre, and actively held a number of leadership positions. Moved to NYC after graduation to work in sales at Yelp, and sold merchandise on Broadway in the evenings and on weekends - bit of a dream. Relocated back down south, to ATL, and was fortunate to spend many years working with a variety of Arts organizations in administration and marketing while keeping up with the comedy chops in my spare time - learned a lot, and continue to reflect on and glean from these experiences. Have now stepped away from many semblances of a normal life to become reacquainted with my own artistic values and goals.
